In brief, I wrote. But not enough.
And cooked a veggie stew.

One addendum to yesterday: while I complained about it all, fact of the matter is that I walked everywhere. The longest walk was to the main post office, about 10 minutes away. So, while not being able to figure out where to make copies was annoying, in Livermore I would have had to drive to find a copy place. Also, I'm betting there are just fewer of them around. I could have done it all at my host's printer except I thought that was pretty tacky (I did do the initial print on his) and he was low on toner (not due to me).
